HIV/AIDS is a serious health concern, and
employers have a legal and ethical responsibility to provide a supportive and non-discriminatory workplace for employees living with HIV/AIDS.
We as Samaritan Children’s home classified HIV/AIDS as a disability to accommodate employees living with HIV/AIDS. We cannot discriminate against employees based on their HIV/AIDS status. Discriminatory practice include refusing to hire HIV-positive individual.
We are ready to take action against employee/s who are not willing comply with the company or organization policy. Our policy is non discriminatory and fair to everyone in the organization. Our HIV/AIDS policy outlines management commitment, roles, responsibilities and position on addressing HIV and AIDS among employees. It further provides guidance on what programs the organisation is committed to undertaking to address HIV and AIDS.
HIV and AIDS programs are action-oriented plans to prevent new HIV infections, provide care and support to all employees and manage the impact of HIV and AIDS on the workplace.
The Workplace is a location where an employee/s provides work for an employer, usually located in a variety of settings including offices, and in any other location where work is performed.
